Common law and Islamic Law can be studied under the Law in the following Nigerian Universities;
1.Bayero University Kano (BUK)
2.University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
3.Usman Dan Fodio University (UDUSOK)

Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Common law and Islamic Law under the Faculty of Law in the above Universities include;
Any two (2) Arts subjects including Literature in English

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION REMARKS
1. UNILORIN require Arabic or Islamic Studies and any other two (2) Arts subjects.
2. UDUSOK requires Arabic or Islamic studies and any other two (2)Arts subjects

O'Level Requirements
The O'level subject combination and requirements needed to study Common law and Islamic Law;

You require;
Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION REMARKS
1. UNILORIN requires'O' level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Islamic Studies or Arabic and any other two (2) subjects in Arts. (Civic Education / Government / History).
2. BUK requires Islamic Studies/Arabic and Literature-in-English for Common and Islamic Law.
Direct Entry Requirements:
1. Candidates should have at least 5 ‘O’ Level Credits in Arts or Commercial subjects including English Language, Literature in English and Mathematics; and including a Credit in Arabic or Islamic Studies for LL.B. (Hons) Common law and Islamic Law Candidates.
2. Candidates should have at least 2 ‘A’ Level Credit in Arts or Commercial Subjects or.
3. Diploma in Law (Upper Credit) from recognised Institution or.
4. A First degree from recognised Universities.
