What I learn in this election is that our people vote party not candidate, the bulk of them are ignorance of electing good leader, I am surprise that darkness still exist in Niger State.

The darkness of voting party is still existing in Niger state, we don't know when this will come to an end. This is so painful Wallahi.

Niger state that suppose to have developed more than any other state because of what Allah has bestowed upon the state, up to now the state is underdeveloped.

We need people like Buhari in Niger state so to speak because Niger state is facing the same problem with Nigeria an i said this with due respect.

It's a common knowledge for everyone who stay in Niger state that, the so-called Governor Abubakar Sani Bello lolo who spent four good years without bringing any development in the state has been reelected.

I don't know why our people vote this man again.

In 2015 we are blind for voting this man, we voted him not just because he is competent or we saw any goodness in him, he gain our votes just because of President Muhammad Buhari.

The main reason why I myself voted him in 2015 was because he is a business man, I thought after his victory he may build companies for us.
Very very unfortunate for him not even thinking of having one in the state.

The So called business man cannot even think on how to have one company In his own town, talk more of state.
Haba, why did you reelect the man again?, some people are even jubilating by voting A.P.C by making mention of Next level not knowing is the so-called Abu lolo who refused to do what he is expected of that's the candidate of A.P.C. Hmmmmn!
what had happend has happend, all we need now is prayer

May Allah subhanawo watallah bless us with good learner that will take our state and nation to good level Ameen and may he safeguard us in this world as well as hereafter. Ameen
ASUU has suspended its nationwide strike, after three months of industrial action.

The striking lecturers took the decision after a meeting with representatives of the Federal Government led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige.

TVC has earlier reported that, the federal government and the striking University teachers have finally signed an agreement, raising hope of an end to the three months old strike.

The meeting came hours before Professor Ogunyemi announced the decision of ASUU to suspend the strike.

The major contestants aspiring to be the next President of Africa’s largest economy (Nigeria) are; President Muhammadu Buhari (The Incumbent President) and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president of the country.
The victory of President Buhari as the President of Nigeria in 2015, was the beginning of a new era. It was the first time power was peacefully passed from one party to another.
As February 16th is fast approaching, there are still some questions Nigerians need to answers. One of them is “Does any of the candidates have the masses at heart”?

We needed to answer this question because for us to vote a competent leader we need to know what was his intention towards masses?
I am advicing you, Do not vote for a party, clan, sex, tribe, religion and money.
Vote for a competent and capable man who will stand for better Nigeria for us. But If you vote for a party or others (clan, sex, tribe and money) you will suffer for it, especially those who vote for party, don't just cast your vote just because of buhari is in A.P.C and all your votes should be in A.P.C "No",you have to be wise enough, open your eyes and think deeply before casting your vote for a competent man of your choice.
May God help us to choose the right person Ameen.
Also For those who buy and sell their vote just because of N10,000 only.
This is very important aspect in this article, we shall explained how wrong majority of people are, by buying and selling of votes.
Permit me to share one of the sheikh (schooler) point of view about buying and selling of vote, when I read it, I almost be in cried, in one of his sermons he said:
"My Brothers and sisters in Islam, today’s sermon will be in furtherance of our discussion on politics and elections therefore, we shall today discuss The Islamic judgement on the Buying and Selling of Vote, which is one of the corrupt practices as far as the electoral process is concerned.
Honourable brothers and sisters in Islam, your vote is a trust, the voter must therefore ensure compliance with its entire requirement, he must not waste it, because that is regarded as a betrayal. Allah says of betrayal thus:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ﴾ {الأنفال:8 \27}
O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]. “ (8:27)
The trust requires that a voter selects a trustful and just candidate, who abides by the limits set by Allah (swt), and is able to competently manage the post he is to be voted for. Allah says:
إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَنِ اسْتَأْجَرْتَ الْقَوِيُّ الْأَمِينُ﴾ {القصص:28\ 26}
“Indeed, the best one you can hire is the strong and the trustworthy." (28: 26)
As to buying and selling of vote or the conscience, and voting for he who pays the highest bid, these are all classified as betrayal of trust. It is forbidden for both the electorates and the candidates to be involved in this practice, because it aids selecting the wrong persons to position of authority. The Prophet (pbuh) said: “When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour." It was asked, "How will honesty be lost, O Allah's Apostle?" He said, "When authority is given to those who do not deserve it, then wait for the Hour." (Bukhari)

<ins class="adsbygoogle" p=""> style="display:block"
data-ad-format="fluid"
data-ad-layout-key="-he-m-4-6a+k0"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-4724775541353443"
data-ad-slot="4277742893"></ins>

It is therefore not decent for a voter to cast his vote through such way, it is equally not right for a candidate to gather votes in this manner. It is abhorrent for a community to be established on a basis of purchase of consciences, tribalistic tendencies, instead of competence. What is expected of those who see money as everything and sell their votes or buy that of others?! What then would be expected from him if he becomes the winner?! Logically, he would try to recover all he has spent through abuse of office. Using one’s position for personal interests is forbidden religiously and a crime punishable by law. Voting is a witness which one will be asked about before Allah. Allah says: (سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ وَيُسْأَلُونَ)
“Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned.” (43: 19)
Whoever cast his vote in exchange for money or other things without selecting the ideal and appropriate person in accordance with the standards of Islamic Law has made a false testimony; because he testifies for a man’s capability to lead over the Muslims where he does not deserve it.
Sale of vote could be classified as a form of bribery in which both the giver and taker incur the wrath of Allah. Bribery is to give money or things in the same meaning to nullify a right or to realize a falsehood. It includes everything a person spends such as money, benefit or service to others in order to achieve his interest, and this is the reality of buying and selling of votes. Prof. Dr. Walid Rabee’- a professor of Sharia at Kuwait University, says: "the electoral process is a legal action, it determines the system, its time and position in a constitution or bills to choose - base on its position or status – a person or more as senate leader or representatives or the like of that. It is a legal process, through which the people chose by a way of election, independent representatives to act on their behalf in the administration of authority.
Islamically, the judgement on election could be classified into two:
It is a testimony: A testimony given by the voter to affirm the competence of the person voted for regarding the responsibility and public affair entrusted to him.
It is a recommendation: A recommendation from the voter for the candidate to be elected. In Judiciary matters, recommendation is the setting right of witnesses before the judge. Islamic jurists affirm that witnesses in matters of recommendation agree with witnesses in a lawsuit, inter alia, that it is required in both cases, full mind-control, uprightness, justice, sight and speech and that the witness should not be voided by act of malicious accusation of fornication, kinship that voids acceptance of testimony, and no string of benefit attached.
In any of the two classes described above, it is not right for the witness to collect any money in exchange for the testimony he was to give. If he collects it, then he lost his integrity because that translates to collecting bribe, which is forbidden.
The selection of persons by direct election is a serious matter in nation-building and the definition of its geographical entity, thus it should be placed in its proper place above every thought of bargains, or buying and selling. Vote is a trust, testimony, and recommendation. The goal is the selection of the fittest person, which will ensures the interests of the community, and works to sustain its unity and advancement, and happiness, and avoids its derailment.
Whoever appoints or takes part in the appointment of a person to lead the Muslims and he is aware of better person, has thrown himself in tribulation and disaster.
Yazid bn Abu Sufyan said: Abubakar said to me when he sent me to Syria: “O Yazid, you have kinship, would you perhaps favour them with authority (leadership), and that is the greatest thing I fear for you, after what the messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: Whoever manages anything in the affairs of the Muslims, and he appoints a person with favouritsm, the curse of Allah will be on him, Allah will not accept from him any act until He puts him in Jahannam (hell fire).” (Haakim)

In another hadith: “Any person who appoints a person over a group of ten persons after being aware that among the ten is a better person than whom he has appointed, such has betrayed Allah, His messenger, and the Muslims.” (Abu Ya’la)
In another hadith as well, there exist a strong warning against he who betrays Allah thus: Ma’qal bn Yasaar (R.A) said: I heard the messenger of Allah (pbuh) saying: “no servant of Allah is entrusted to rear a flock and he dies on the day he dies having betrayed his flock, except that Allah- the Exalted forbids him the paradise.”
Ibn Taymiyah said in his book- “ (As-siyaasatu-sh-shar’iyyah; 45/146):
“Verily, to change from the rightful and fittest person to other person than him- due to relationship, allegiance, friendship, tribal or ideological inclination, or nationality, such as Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Greek, or due to bribe taken from him in monetary or benefit terms or other motives, or due to hatred towards the fittest person, or due to existing enmity between them- he has betrayed Allah and His Messenger and falls under forbidden things in the saying of Allah thus: (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَخُونُوا اللَّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوا أَمَانَاتِكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ) (O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence].) (8: 27)."
This is very beautiful point by this Sheikh and I thought to share it with you I hope you will stick to his advice.
May Allah subhanawo watallah guide us and let us realize what is good for us and help us to follow it. Ameen.
If we remember that day we will be stripped off our clothes, unclad, I think this should make us to be weary of Allah.

Everyone that dies as a Muslim must be bathed. However, if a person dies from being burnt and it is possible to wash him, then he should be washed. But if there is the fear that the body may be damaged or caused to disintegrate by washing, then water should be poured over him; if there is the fear that this may cause the body to disintegrate still, then tayammum should be done if possible.

Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The one who has been crushed by a fallen wall, the one who has been burned and the one who has drowned should be washed if possible; if there is the fear that washing may cause the body to distingreate, then water should be poured over them without touching them. If there is still the fear that water may cause the body to distintegarte, then they should not be washed, but tayammum should be done for them if possible, as in the case of a living person who may be harmed by water.

If it is not possible to wash the deceased because there is no water available, then tayammum should be done, and if it is possible to wash some parts and not others, then those parts that can be washed should be washed, and tayammum should be done for the rest, as is the case of the living.

The GHUSL Procedure (Washing and Shrouding)
When a Muslim dies, it is the responsibility of his family or other Muslims within the local community to wash him according to the Islamic rites of washing the deceased.
Usually, at least three to four people will be involved with the actual ghusl (washing and shrouding).
The persons who may wash the deceased should include :
1. An adult Muslim, honest and trustworthy person.
2. Be of the same gender as the deceased i.e if the deceased is male, then ONLY males should wash him.
For a child, either males or females may do the ghusl once he/she
knows the Islamic way of washing the deceased and be able to carry out the ghusl.
A husband can wash his deceased wife and vice versa. A son can neither wash his mum, nor can a daughter wash her dad.
PLACE OF WASHing:
The body of the deceased should be washed with water and, if available, lotus leaves, or camphor (to be used in the final wash).
The steps of the washing should be done at least three times or any more odd number of times as necessary to cleanse.
Always be mindful of infection control and protecting the person performing the Ghusl.
Federal Government has scrapped Award of HND Certificates by Polytechnics. The decision was reached at the Federal Executive Council, FEC, where the approval of a comprehensive reform of Nigeria’s tertiary education system was made.

In effect, the award of HND will be limited to only the students currently admitted for the programmes. Also, all the programmes currently being run by polytechnics, which are not technology-based, and which are about 70 per cent, will be scrapped. Under the new rule, the polytechnics will now become campuses of the proximate universities with the Vice Chancellors of those universities appointing provosts for the polytechnics, subject to the ratification of the Universities Councils.
The polytechnics will now be limited to award of the National Diploma (ND) while those desirous of further education will be awarded the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) by the proximate university. To kick-start the new policy, the nation’s two most prominent polytechnics – Yaba College of Technology and Kaduna Polytechnic – will henceforth be known as City University of Technology, Yaba and City University of Technology, Kaduna. And to give legal teeth to these approvals, the FEC approved the submission of two Executive bills to the National Assembly for enactment.

With education being on the concurrent list, the states may wish to consolidate their tertiary institutions. But if they do not wish to follow the federal example, their programmes will continue to be regulated by the relevant agencies of the Federal Ministry of Education. The first bill will concretise the setting up of the two city universities while the second will approve the preparation and consolidation of all federal polytechnics and colleges of education as campuses of proximate universities.
The Ministry of Justice will do the preparation and submission of the two bills to the National Assembly.
Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, told journalists after the weekly meeting of the council that under the reform measures, his ministry would, however, continue to license private polytechnics and colleges of education for the award of qualification at ND and National Certificate in Education (NCE) levels.
He said,
“There will be no more award of HND.“After we have exhausted the current students under the programme, there will be no more award of HND. This means that there will be no fresh admission for HND programmes. And in addition, any programme that is not technical will be out of the polytechnics.“About 70 per cent of polytechnic graduates are in the non-technical courses. It is going to be a rigorous implementation programme.”A ministerial committee to ensure the smooth implementation of all that is required for the take-off of the reform initiatives is to begin work immediately.
Adamu said, “The HND certificate will remain a legal tender in Nigeria and holders of such certificate will continue to be recognised as the equivalent of first degree holders without discriminatory remunerations and limit to progression in the work place.
“The NCE certificate will be retained as the minimum teaching qualification at the basic level of education. Any higher qualifications by these private or state-owned polytechnics will be only affiliation with a university. So, HND is no longer in existence, but existing HND will be respected and considered legal tender.”
An FCT High Court sitting in Abuja has declared a former Minister of Information, Professor Jerry Gana, as the winner of the presidential primary of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf made the declaration on Friday in his ruling and nullified the candidacy of former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, as the party’s flagbearer.

Hours after the judgement, Professor Gana commended the ruling of the court while addressing a news conference elsewhere in the nation’s capital.

According to him, the verdict of the court is a victory for democracy and party politics as the culture of imposition of candidates by political parties is no longer fashionable.

The former minister said he was in full support of the peace accord initiated by the National Peace Committee led by General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

He added that he was ever prepared for a peaceful process in the forthcoming general elections.
Jerry Gana Asks Court To Disqualify Donald Duke As SDP Presidential Candidate, The ruling came one day after Mr Duke visited the office of the peace committee to sign the peace accord ahead of the polls.

He signed the agreement two days after President Muhammadu Buhari and other presidential candidates signed the accord on Tuesday.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, who missed the signing ceremony, had later visited the peace committee office on Wednesday to sign the agreement.

Professor Gana had gone to the court in November, seeking to be declared the winner of the primary, in line with the zoning formula of the party.

He approached the court after the SDP announced that Mr Duke won the primary it held in October.

According to the party, the former governor polled 812 votes to defeat the former minister who scores 611 votes.

But Gana asked the court to nullify the emergence of Duke on the grounds that the process that produced him violated the constitution of the party.

He claimed that the convention of the party which ushered in Duke as the presidential candidate of the party was illegal and flawed.

“In the party’s constitution as provided under section 15(3), it was stipulated that the party will respect the principle of rotation and zoning because it is important to building up of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the former minister had told the court.

He had also explained that the SDP constitution stated that if the chairman comes from the southern part of Nigeria, then the presidential candidate must come from the northern region.
The appellant was found guilty on a charge murder and sentence to death. The evidence against him was that he harked the deceased to death with a matchet. On his arrest, the appellant made statements to the police to the effect that he killed the deceased under circumstances which if true, would amount to provocation and hence manslaughter. The next day, the appellant denied his earlier statement and rather assert that he had nothing to do with the death of the deseased. He also made the same assertion in his trial. The trial judge in his judgement, referred to the earlier statement as having been retracted. Hence it was argued for the accused that the trial judge's refusal to consider the question of provocation alledge In the appellant's first statement to the police amounted to a miscarriage of justice.

The court held: (1) A confession does not become inadmissible merely because the accused denied having made it: (2) The failure of the trial judge to consider the allegation of provocation contain in the appellant first statement amounted to miscarriage of justice.

COMMON ERRORS JOB APPLICANTS MAKE.

<
Sometimes, it not the organization that has refused to call you back for an interview. The problem might just be from your end, below are some points you should really consider and make proper adjustments before applying for the next job.

1. Grammatical/Spelling errors: Employers or recruiters might see a grammatical error as a lack of detail-orientation on your end.

What to do? Always proofread your resume from bottom to top, this helps you focus on each line or simply have someone else with good judgment proofread it.

2. Applying to multiple roles: Applying to multiple roles in the same organization shows that you don't know what you can do or what you want to do for the company.

What to do? Focus on your strong point, what you are good at and apply for a position in that line.

3. Lies: Putting a lie on your resume is never, ever, ever, worth it. What happens when your employers get to find out? People get fired for lying about a skill, a second or third degree, or for just lying at all.

What to do? Work on your yourself, if you desire a certain skill or a degree work towards it don't just wish it into your resume.

4. Not following instructions: often times when vacancies come up, there are specific instructions on how to apply i.e. subject of the mail should read "REGIONAL MANAGER ENUGU SOUTH" but recruiters end up receiving emails with the subject such as "The best man for the Job" What are you trying to achieve? It might look like you are trying to sell your self over other applicants but it only shows the recruiter that you don't adhere to simple instructions.

What to do? Stick to the instruction that comes with the job advert and in situations where there are no such instructions simply state the role you are applying for as your mail subject. Don't forget your resume/cv should carry your full name not "Item 1" or "CV 1"

5. Zero attention to details: One of the many issues recruiters complain about the most is about applicants sending in their application and forgetting to attach their CV. Really? It's like going to the farm and leaving your tools behind. Some recruiters are patient enough to ask you to resend with your CV attached. For others, you just made their job easy by ticking you off the list.

What to do? Always check to see that you attached the necessary document before hitting the send button.

6. Winging it: Have you ever been in that awkward scenario where you are invited for an interview and you don't know anything about the company? It goes to show you don't care about putting in effort when it comes to preparation and it's most likely why you didn't get called back after the interview.

What to do? Never attend an interview under-prepared, most companies have websites or even social media handles. Read them up and learn a thing or two, it just might be the edge you will have over other applicants.

7. Unprofessional email address: Your email address should be professional and not suggestive, silly or funny. Imagine having great skills, good degrees and sending in an application to a recruiter with an account from "sexyzzyx@gmail.com"

What to do? As a job applicant, you don't want to be the reason why you don't get called back. Create an account with your real names, they are easy to remember and they look professional enough i.e zakariabdullahi600@gmail.com
