How to save yourself from corruption.

Before we could talk about how one can save his/her self from corruption it will be good to know what corruption is, The causes of corruption and possible way out from it(corruption)
To an ordinary Nigerian
Corruption:-may be defined as a process of dishonestly or fraudulent conduct by those in power(Government), typically involving bribery and embezzlement of the public funds.

Frankly speaking corruption goes beyond bribery an Embezzlement of public funds by government officials alone. It encapsulate all illicit contractual agreement between ordinary man which has been tagged as Give and Take or give what you have for what you want.

Corruption is a widely spread virus amidst the Nigerians. Corruption has eaten so deep to the extent that when you find someone who is not corrupt it becomes surprising.

Couses of corruption.
*1* poverty
*2* Greediness
*3* poor education and illiteracy.

*1:-poverty:
corruption is boosted by poverty when the basic needs of a common man is not available to him at that point in time.

*2:-Greediness:
when the desire for accumulation of wealth becomes widespread then corruption is compulsory. Political positions are often wealthy and powerful due to the huge amount of funds allocated to political office holders. therefore a greedy individual get the notion and perceive the attainment of political post.

*3:poor Education and illiteracy: when the number of educated persons in a society is high they will be gainfully employed and will have a good understanding of consequence of corruption.
*Authorities from the Glorious Qur'an and the holy bible that disregard corruption.
*The Glorious Qur'an.
“By Allah well ye know that we came not to make mischief in the land and we are not thieves”(Surah Yusuf vs 73)
“Then is it to be expected of you if ye were put in Authority that ye will not do mischief in the land and break your ties of kinship” (surah Muhammad 22).

*Holy Bible.
“woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers,children given to corruption ”(Isaiah 1:4)
“They have sunk deep into corruption as in the days of Gibeah, God will remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins” (Hosea 9:9).

*WAYS TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM CORRUPTION.
*1* Transparency.
*2* Contentment with what one has or can afford.
*3* Empower citizens
*4* Deal justly with the duties assigned to you
*5* Be a pious Muslim or Christian
